The 2017 NHL Trade Block

The 2016-17 NHL season is not far from ending as one of the biggest days of the season is coming up, the NHL trade deadline as many huge players can be moved before that day. The deadline is on March 1st at 6:00p.m.

As the season is winding down closer and closer to the playoffs every team still has a chance to make a push for the playoff. A huge trade can change a lot.

Kevin shattenkirk a top defenceman for the St. Louis Blues is expected to be traded. He has 35 points in 52 games and makes 4.25 million dollarrs a year at the age of 27. Many teams are interested in him such as Tronto, Boston, Edmonton and the New York rangers who all have many good players to offer.

Another huge player expected to be traded is Matt Duchene. He has 32 points in 44 games at the age of 26. He makes 6 million a year as this year has been a very slow season for him so is a change all he needs?

Martin Hanzel a second line center for the Arizona coyotes should be on the move as the Montreal Canadians are very interested in him. Montreal is in the need of a new center so Hanzel can be a good fit. Gabriel Landeskog another Player from Colorado who has a slow year as the captain may also be on the move to Montreal.

The Boston Bruins are very intrested in the Edmonton Oilers Jordan Eberle who plays along side one of the worlds best players, Connor McDavid. He would be a good fit as the bruins are just in the playoffs but many teams are catching up.

Three top class goaltenders also may be on the move as they are reaching near the end of their career and the Las Vegas expansion draft is coming up so teams want to at least get something out of it. Goalies looking for a move are Fleury, Pavelec and Bishop a outstanding goalie for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins two powerhouses who don't have many holes in your lineup will they try and one up the other by making a trade before the deadline as they will most likely face each other in the second round.

This year may be the year with the best players out looking for a trade. Many teams are in contention to have a chance at the playoffs and go far so March 1st will be a very interesting day.
