This all started while Lemon was doing a segment on his show "CNN Tonight." In this segment, Lemon invites four guests (usually, two Republican Trump supporters, and two Democratic Hillary supporters), and they all talk about things that have to do with politics. On this specific day, they were talking about Trump's expensive trips, and how all of these trips were being fuelled by tax payers. The fact of the matter is, Trump has spent more than any other president in history. Now, when you're talking about sensitive subjects like this, especially when the people you're talking about it with have opposing views, obviously, people will either interrupt each other, and talk over each other. However, this takes it to a whole new level.
Dennard started saying how this is a "fake news" story, and that Trump was "not breaking any laws.” Lemon immediately cut him off. He started saying things like "Do you even know what the definition of a fake news story is." and Lemon explained it to him by saying "A fake news story is a story that is made up by someone to lower the chances of their opponent succeeding. This is not a fake news story. If you don't want to participate, that's fine, but don't go saying things that aren't true." Once Dennard practically ignored this statement and continued about this "fake news," Lemon simply cut him off, and ended the entire show. This takes not agreeing with someone, and escalating it immensely.
Because of this, President Trump actually banned CNN, and four other news companies (The New York Times, NBC News, ABC News and CBS News) from attending any of his press conferences, simply because they have opinions, and state them.
No matter what are views are, Republican or not, I think we can all agree that these past few weeks, have been crazy. Everyday, a new story like this emerges, whether it's an absurd decision that Trump has made, a story about a Trump supporter going crazy, or a Democrat fighting back. Now, wherever you stand, Trump supporter or not, isn't up to me, but just know, if you think this is bad, I'm sorry to tell you, but it's only the beginning.
