Kim Kardashian: The Truth? Or Just Another Hoax...

On Monday, October 3rd, arguably the most famous Kardashian sister, Kim, was robbed at gunpoint inside of her Paris Apartment. According to her representative, the incident has left her "badly shaken, but physically unharmed."

The robbery happened at 2:25 AM shortly after the reality TV star ended a facetime call with her brother, Robert Kardashian. 5 assailants dressed as cops tied up the concierge while they made their way up to her apartment. Once they got there, they held her at gunpoint while they tied her up, and locked her in the bathroom. The assailants then raided her apartment, stealing millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including some that were personal, and some that she had borrowed for Paris Fashion Week. Two iPhones that are believed to be the 35 year old's, were also stolen.

Back in the United States, where the rest of her family was staying, her husband Kanye West only learned the gravity of the performance, while he was on stage. He immediately stopped the show, telling all of the fans "I have a family emergency. I'm sorry, I need to go." Kim then flew back to New York in a private jet, at 9:30 that morning, with the support of her sisters, and her mother, Kris.

Kim is also getting support on twitter, actor and comedian James Corden tweeted:

"People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she's a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend," the 38-year-old host tweeted after news broke of the burglary. Be nice or shut up."

Also, friend of Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen went on a rant, backing up her BFF, saying:

"Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you'd make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets."

she continued, saying:

"I dunno. It's hard to explain because everyone thinks money and fame is pure awesome, so it just sounds whiny. I get it, trust me. Go off."

Kim and Kanye's 3 year old daughter, North and 9-month-old son Saint, are thankfully not believed to have been in the room at the time of the robbery.

German U Boat Found Off Coast of Scotland

The historic discovery was made by engineers involved in the Western Link project, where they are laying a subsea power line between Ayrshire and the Wirral. The 385 km long cable will carry renewable energy produced in Scotland to England and Wales.

Peter Roper, from Scottish Power, said workers found the boat while laying cables on the sea bed to help them survey the seafloor. They generally find boulders and other obstacles like that. The wreckage 120m north-west of the centre of the route, off the Stranraer coast. "What we didn't expect to find was a German U-boat," said Roper. "It's probably the most amazing thing I've ever come across in the whole of my construction experience."

Even more amazing than finding the vessel is the history behind it. Naval folklore suggests the vessel may have been attacked by a "sea monster." The story goes that the submarine was caught by the British HMS Coreopsis on April 30, 1918, as it was floating on the surface during the day. The German crew surrendered without resistance. The captain of the U-Boat Captain Krech, claimed that they had been attacked by some sort of sea monster. He goes on saying, 'The beast had 'large eyes, set in a horny sort of skull … with teeth that could be seen glistening in the moonlight. 'When asked why his boat was found on the surface He said the sub was recharging its batteries on the surface of the water at night when the "strange beast" rose from the water and attacked them.
As good as the story is there is still many reasonable explanations. Innes McCartney, a historian and nautical archaeologist who helped identify the wreckage, believes the discovery of the submarine could help solve the mystery of its final hours.

"The submarine was caught on the surface at night recharging its batteries," he said. "It saw the patrol ship coming, it attempted to do a crash dive to get away and the young officer whose job it was to shut the hatch at the top didn't stop it properly, and when the submarine was underwater it began rapidly flooding from above so they had no option but to just blow all the compressed air they had, bring the submarine to the surface, at which point all they could do was surrender."
With such a reasonable explanation, there is still no definite truth so you can still appreciate the story without having to turn to fact.

"What Now" Movie Review

"What Now?" Movie review

The movie "What Now?" is a comedy starring Halle Berry and famous stand up comedian, Kevin Hart. This is essentially an hour and a half stand up comedy show performed by Kevin Hart. This movie took place in his hometown of Philadelphia. The movie also ties in a little bit of James Bond parody. Halle Berry played as the girlfriend of Kevin Hart's parody of  007. This movie was created because this was one of most popular stand up comedies in the world.

Kevin Hart was born on July 6, 1979 in Philadelphia. He has 2 children that he makes jokes about during his stand up comedy. He got into comedy when he performed his first stand up at a night club in Philadelphia. His stand up name was "Lil Kev". Hart was not originally funny when he first started his career. He mainly does movies with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson because they are really good friends. He also does movies with other famous comedians like Will Ferrell, Ice Cube, Eddie Murphy,  Steve Carell, and Ben Stiller.

To be completely honest, I would rate this movie an 8.5/10 because I find it was really funny. The only flaw was that the ending didn't make sense to me. I would love to tell you the ending, but I would not want to spoil the movie for anyone who has not seen the movie yet.

Kevin Hart is one of the funniest actor and comedian on stage. His jokes are so funny in this movie, it is almost impossible not to laugh at his jokes. The thing that I like about his jokes is that once he says them, he some how ties back his beginning jokes toward the middle and the end of the movie.

Cleveland Indians Logo Banned For Racial Discrimination?

A Toronto court case will be held on October 18th in order to try and ban the Cleveland indians logo and name of being used in Ontario. This legal challenge comes the same day that the Toronto Blue jays play Cleveland in the American League Championships.

Cardinal’s lawyers will ask the court to bar the usage of the name and logo by the team, Major League Baseball and Rogers Communications, which is broadcasting the American League Championship. They tried to ban the name for racial discrimination.

“It’s not just that imagery and the words. It’s the impact it has on the indigenous peoples. It is this statement that you are separate, that you are something to ridicule, that you’re a source of humour,” Cardinal’s spokesman Joe Householder told reporters Monday morning.

On Monday morning the court case was dismissed by the judge. They tried to ban the use of Cleveland's name and their logo which is a red cartoon wearing a headband with feathers sticking out the back.
The cardinal says that one day he hopes that the team realizes that it is racist and changes their team name and logo. He says that people should be able to watch the game without feeling offended.

Clevelands lawyer followed by saying “He’s been exposed to the logo and the name since 1977, so what’s happened now to come to court on an emergency basis?"

Cleveland wears this cartoon character on their sleeve and on their home jerseys. The cardinals hope that the Indians change their name and logo in the future but for now, they will have to live with it.

The Wrath of Hurricane Matthew

Hurricane Matthew is the second natural disaster to hit Haiti in 6 years the first being a devastating earthquake, which some people are still recovering from. Hurricane Matthew has taken the lives of over 1000 people living in Haiti, and 1.4 million people are in need.

In an attempt to help the United Nations has pledged 120 million dollars into emergency services and for many other needs that Haiti has.

But we can
not expect changes right away, medical supplies are scarce and with the cholera outbreak that also happened a couple years back it is very difficult. Cholera, the disease at the heart of Haiti’s last disaster, is being spread again by this one. To prevent the spread they have been putting up make shift clinics that are being bombarded by hundreds of people every hour. About 10 thousand people have died from this horrible disease since 2010.

The country had been close to being rebuilt to the 21st century standards but now has had a major setback with hurricane Matthew. “Instead of going forward, we have to restart,” said Marie Roselore Auborg, the minister for commerce and industry in the Grand Anse department, “This storm leveled all of the potential we had to grow and reboot our economy."

To help Haiti and other countries affected by this hurricane you can donate to charity's organized to help in these situations such as,
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
UNICEF
Food for the Poor

Hillary Clinton Versus Donald Trump: Who's Side Are You On?

Monday, September 26th, 2016 at 9:00 PM was the first presidential debate. For those living in a cave, Hillary Clinton was representing the Democratic party and Donald Trump was representing the Republican party. Needless to say, there was without a doubt some fabrication and dishonesty. For example, in a tweet, Trump stated that "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive."  When confronted about this by Secretary Clinton, he lied, and said that he never said anything like that.

He was also confronted by Secretary Clinton about using derogatory terms towards women like: pig, slob, fat dog, etc... and, of course, he denied it, when there is clear evidence that he has said those things in the past, and in a live interview at that. That is just one of the many lies that Trump has told, but while we're on the topic of lies, Clinton isn't exactly a saint, either. She stated that when she became secretary of state, which was nearly eight years ago, Iran was weeks away from having enough nuclear material to form a bomb. This is not true. Eight years ago, Iran was not anywhere near having enough nuclear material to form a bomb, so as you can see, she wasn't exactly completely truthful, either. Even after the debate, the uproar of who really "won" it, even though there is no real winner, went on for a while.

For the first 20 minutes of the debate, Trump was succeeding at retaining good speed, and stayed as calm as possible while answering any questions that he was being asked. Clinton also stayed calm, and was obviously very prepared for the debate. The reason Trump was so calm for those 20 minutes was because they were talking about trade, which is a topic that Trump knows much about. But, as the debate went on, his short temper got the best of him, and he starting blurting out lies and interrupting Secretary Clinton, all Democrats and even some Republicans were in agreement that Clinton "Won."

All that I can say is that the debate in general was lacking poise, and simply overall class. The candidates were like two restless boxers in a boxing match, waiting for the next to throw a punch so they could each get another low blow. Even worse, it seemed as if the lies that Trump had told in the past came back to haunt him. For example we all know that viral statement "My father gave me a small loan of a million dollars..." He basically said how in the business world, a million dollars isn't much, and how he built his business empire off of nearly nothing...well, it turns out that Trump wasn't given a million dollars, he was given 14 million dollars. So can we even trust him to say that he build his life by himself, with barely any help from anyone else? I think not. Plus, throughout the debate  with almost every question, Donald Trump went off on multiple tangents, which he is known for doing.  When confronted about the terrible things he said in 2005 about women on a bus, he started by saying that it was "locker room banter" and then 15 seconds later he was talking about ISIS. How? Don't even ask. No one knows.

With all this evidence, it's adamant that Clinton won the debate, and, in a CNN/ORC poll, 52 percent of people asked said that they would in fact vote for Clinton right now, and, honestly, I couldn't agree more.

The Clown Phenomenon

Clowns are no longer funny.

People are reporting creepy clown incidents in North America. The first sight of one creepy clowns was in Greenville, South Carolina, by a little boy. The boy sprinted to his mother, Donna Arnold. The boy said to his mother that The clowns whispered to the him to lure them to his house. This isn't the only clown sighting. There are many more in the U.S., and even some in Canada. For example, there was a sighting in Nova Scotia. A women had turned the street to avoid one clown, but then she became surrounded by five clowns. Usually, the clowns are armed with a melee weapon.

Should we be scared?
Although that the sightings have become a little bit more frequently, this might just be a prank for Halloween because of how much it has become consistent. Scientist have studied that at least 250 kids in 2008 did not like clowns. Also, there have only been about 100 sightings of clowns and no one has reported a dead body by a clown. People should not be scared because there are more harmful things in the world like cars and global warming.

Is this problem being taken serious?
This clown problem is not really such a big deal. No one has died by a clown yet and social media has turned it into a meme. But, as these clowns are being sighted, it has become a real big problem for the clown association in Canada. If this keeps ha
opening, it can give those clowns a bad reputation.

Stopping the reign of the clowns

People all across Canada and the U. S. are forming search parties to hunt down the clowns. A group of at least 500 kids from Penn State University started to chase a clown on the loose. It seems that people really don't like clowns anymore.

Pit-Bull Ban

A few months ago a woman was fatally attacked by a pit-bull in her backyard. The family of the victim wanted a Quebec wide ban on the dog breed. This conflict started a whole new look at the situation, making the government consider banning them, so they put together a working group that was made to review regulations surrounding pit-bulls

After many rumours about the ban of the pit-bull, the working group has come up with a report saying that they are not going to be banned but there will be some restrictions.

Recommendations

Some recommendations made by the group are;

Creating two categories of dogs, one for dangerous "pit bull-type" breeds, and another for potentially dangerous dogs weighing 20 kg or more and trained for protection.

Compulsory registration for both types.

An obligation to keep the dogs on a leash.

Wearing a harness in public places.

For pit bulls, an obligation to wear a muzzle in public places and sterilization.

Dangerous dogs will also be required to be kept behind a fence when at home.

To be labelled dangerous, a dog must have caused serious injuries to a person or an animal and have been evaluated by a veterinarian.

But, they still recommend a ban on pit bulls for people who have committed certain types of crimes related to violence or cruelty to animals.

To summarize the dogs will be accepted but there will be a lot more precautions.

Locations

In light of all this good news there are still many part of quebec where they are banned, like
Desbiens, parts of Montreal, Sherbrooke, Saint-Jean-Sur-Richilieu, Chapais, Ville St. Laurent, Kirkland, Outremont, Châteauguay and Saint Genevieve

Also outside of Quebec they have restrictions in 7 other provinces.
